Getting Started

Your child's needs will be thoroughly considered before developing a treatment plan. Let's do this together.

1. Start the intake process

If you have concerns about your child's development, call our office at (616) 667-9551. We will gather pertinent information that will assist in the care coordination of your child. We will also get you set up with access to our patient portal.

2. Visit the patient portal

Intake forms and the pediatric medical history within your patient portal will need to be completed before we can schedule an evaluation for your child. This allows us to better check your insurance policy (this is NOT a guarantee of coverage) and match you up with a member of our team to help your child reach their goals. Login credentials include your provided email address and a password that will be provided in your virtual welcome letter.

3. Schedule your evaluation

After all the required intake items are completed, our director will review your information. You will receive a phone call from a member of our office staff to get your evaluation scheduled. We may recommend one or more of the following assessments based on individual client needs:

  • Occupational Therapy Assessment
  • Speech and Language Assessment
  • Physical Therapy Assessment
  • Psychological Consultation/Assessment
  • Multidisciplinary Assessment

4. Therapy designed for your child

Therapies may be individual and/or groups. Frequency and duration of treatment is determined based on individual client needs. Parent participation is an essential part of the therapy process. Our therapists provide ample parent consultation time as part of each session and work with parents and educators to incorporate therapeutic interventions into all aspects of the client's life.

Billing and Payment

Payments are due at time of service. Our front desk staff will work with you to verify your insurance coverage for our services. That does not always guarantee payment. If an insurance company does not pay for service, it is your responsibility to pay for services provided. We are currently accepting and billing to these insurance companies:

Depending on your insurance policy and the billable diagnosis code, coverage for services varies. Clients with other health plans may be able to submit for reimbursement, but payment will be out-of-pocket at the time of treatment. Please inform us immediately if any part of your insurance coverage changes.

NOTE: We do not bill Medicaid, other than the companies listed above.
