Joanne Johnson
Joanne Johnson is an Occupational Therapy Aide and Certified Interactive Metronome provider who has been an Optometric Technician/Vision therapist for over twelve years. In that time, she has demonstrated knowledge, skill and genuine caring in providing therapy for clients with vision and learning difficulties, ADD/ADHD, strabismus, amblyopia, brain injuries, and various developmental and sensory integration issues including autism, Aspergers Syndrome and auditory processing disorders.
Joanne holds an associates degree from Ferris State University in Optometric Tech and has earned certification to provide vision therapy through the Baltimore Academy of Behavioral Optometry. She has taken the initiative to expand her education and skills by learning Interactive Metronome and craniosacral therapy, continues to participate in continuing education and is gaining knowledge in DIR/Floortime, Therapeutic Listening, and Auditory Integration Training. Currently, she is extending her formal education to include a degree in Occupational Therapy.
