Second Tuesday strategies for parents at the Center for Childhood Development - April 13, 2010
Now fun for your children too! Childcare will be provided. Please RSVP if you are bringing children so that we can arrange to have adequate supervision. Contact Janene at 667-9551 or janene@thecenterforcd.com . Supervision will be provided by Grand Valley Pre-OT and OT students. Thanks Grand Valley students!
Join us on the second Tuesday of each month for an informal presentation focusing on different topics. Next Strategy - April 13, 2010, 6:30 - 8:00 pm. Featuring: Therapeutic Listening.
Please join us for an exciting presentation on Therapeutic Listening, an evidence-backed protocol that combines a sound-based intervention with sensory integrative activities to create a comprehensive program effective for those with sensory challenges. Therapeutic Listening can impact sensory modulation, attention, behavior, postural organization, and speech and language difficulties. Listening is a function of the entire brain; when we listen, we listen with the whole body.
Please join us for up-to-date information and discussion.
Led by: Molly Buist, OTR
The Second Tuesday strategies series are intended to offer an introduction to new topics, an opportunity to learn about the Center for Childhood Development, meet the staff, and view the facility. These meetings are the perfect opportunity to invite friends, grandparents, or other members of your ‘team’ to visit the Center as well as hear new strategies for regulation in your home.
The Second Tuesday strategies are from 6:30 until 8:00 pm at The Center for Childhood Development. These presentations, and childcare, are offered as a no cost opportunity to learn, share and support.
There are no advanced reservations needed. (Except for childcare) We look forward to meeting with old, current, and new friends.
